Mold occurs naturally in the environment and may be found indoors and outdoors. Mold can multiply by producing microscopic spores similar to seeds produced by plants. Mold is not usually a problem indoors, unless mold spores land on a wet or damp area and begin growing. As molds grow they digest whatever they are growing on. Untreated mold growth can damage buildings and furnishings; molds can rot wood, damage drywall, and eventually cause structural concerns to buildings. The potential human health effects of mold are also a concern. It is important, therefore, to prevent mold from growing indoors.

Evaluating any mold problem begins with a professional mold inspection. Our certified inspectors will look for visible signs of mold as well as signs of any ongoing source of moisture. If possible presence of mold is determined, the inspector will advise if mold sampling and laboratory mold testing are suitable.
